Flu Shots? YES!

Do I really need a flu shot?  YES!!!

Flu activity in the United States is low now, making this an excellent time to get a flu vaccine. This season, everyone 6 months and older should get vaccinated, even if they got a seasonal or 2009 H1N1 vaccine last season. The 2010-2011 flu vaccine has been updated to protect against the three flu viruses that CDC expects will cause the most illness in the United States this season.

On Friday, Oct. 22, the Grant County Health Dept. is having a flu shot clinic for adults and adolescents.  The clinic is 1-3:30pm and costs $20 (cash or check only).  They are planning the next clinic for Nov. 19.  More details to come.

Many other places, especially pharmacies are offering flu shots, usually for $25.  Indiana Wesleyan University employees have the SHOT available for employees (shot, not mist) for $20 - call the Health Center to schedule at #677-2206.
