Free Activities In & Around Marion

I'm always looking for very low cost, or ideally FREE activities to do with my family.  Some of my favorites in and around Marion are...

Marion Library (see post on Library)

Mall PlayPlace (between SEARS and JCPenney entrances) - if your kids are crawling thru about 5 years old, this is a fun spot for a play date.  Meet another mom & watch your kiddos play while you get to sit and visit!

Cardinal Greenway - what a GREAT path for walking, biking, roller blading, pushing stroller, etc.  Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather while you still can!  For more info see www.cardinalgreenways.org

Matter Park - fabulous park for all ages... go and play tag with your kids at Matter Park and they'll be in heaven!

Tree of Life - have you checked out the new kids are at Tree of Life bookstore on the Bypass?  Go, grab a cup of tea and visit with a friend while your kids play.

Gas City Zoo - I'm using the word "zoo" liberally here, but if you have small kids, they won't know the difference and won't care! If you haven't been here, this "zoo" is actually just a bunch of animals that feed on the grass at the Gas City water treatment plant.  They are fenced in, and you can feed them (there is a vending machine with $.25 bags of food).  Go to gas city and turn on BROADWAY by the cemetary.  Address is 500 S Broadway.

What other fun free things do you do with your kids around Marion?  List them in the comments section below OR email me at MarionMomBlog@gmail.com and I'll add them to the page!
